YouTube upload and test of video format

Steps:
1. Camera: SonyVX2000, 25 B/s (unfortunately, progressive scan was turned on so the realized fps is 12.5 or so.)
2. AdobePremiere->Matrox conversion tool to convert from AdobeExport to mpg02
3. DivX-Converter V6.1 mpg2->divx-files
4. Upload to YouTube (i don't know which processing they do)

a_Szene_Rammen_V2_720x576_6000Kbps_Q75.mpg
local file size: 23.2MB

a_Szene_Rammen_V2_720x576_1360Kbps_Q63.divx
local file size: 4.5MB

a_Szene_Rammen_V2_320x256_577Kbps_Q21.divx
local file size: 1.96MB

a_Szene_Rammen_V2_320x256_1345Kbps_Q42.divx
local file size: 4.5MB

Fazit:

YouTube recomands to upload files in the format:" We specifically recommend the MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format at 320x240 resolution with MP3 audio. Resizing your video to these specifications before uploading will help your clips look better on YouTube. "

But as this test shows, do better not change the resolution and Bitrate in the DivX-Converter.
Just convert the mpeg 2 files into DivX to reduce the file size and upload time.
